Message To Prime Minister
The British Minister at Athens has conveyed to the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, the following message from the Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs:—-“The Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs asks me to express to you the heartfelt thanks of the Greek Government and the relations of General Metaxas for the condolences transmitted in your telegram of January 30.”—Press Association. Claim For Damages
A claim for £2OO general damages and £272 special damages arising from a collision between a motor-cycle and a motor-car at Wellington on January 20 was brought by Alyn Higgins against Robert James Cousins in the Wellington Supreme Court yesterday before the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, and a jury of 12. The hearing was adjourned until today to enable the jury to visit the scene of the accident.— Press Association.
