CHILD DIES OF INJURIES
(United Press Association) PALMERSTON NORTH, February 7. A child, not yet two years of age, the daughter of Mr and Mrs Wightman, of Bulls, died in hospital from injuries suffered on the Foxton beach when she was run over by a van backing out of a right of way. The driver, watching one side, was unaware of the child’s presence on the other side. SCHOOL GIRL KILLED (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, February 7. Knocked down by a motor-van outside her home in Ellerslie, a school girl received injuries which later proved fatal. The victim was June Anetta Edlin, aged 7 years.
