DOMINION AIRMAN’S AWARD
CAPTAIN R. B. McKAY’S GRANDSON The award of the Distinguished Flying Cross to acting Flight-Lieutenant J. J. McKay, of Nelson, was announced yesterday. Acting Flight-Lieutenant McKay is a grandson of Captain R. B. McKay, V.D., “Woodstock,” Conon street, Invercargill, who celebrated his 88th birthday on January 7 last, and a grand-nephew of Mr D. W. McKay, also of Invercargill. Acting Flight-Lieutenant McKay’s father is Major J. G. McKay, 0.8. E., V.D., of Rutherford House, Nelson College.
