Full Support For Armed Forces ASSURANCE GIVEN BY MR MENZIES (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright) (Received February 5, 5.30 p.m.) GAZA, February 4. The Australian Prime Minister (Mr R. G. Menzies), addressing many thousands of members of the / Australian Imperial Forces, said, “we at home will work to our utmost limit in equipping ang sustaining you. Australia will be behind you through good and bad times. In munitions alone Australia last year produced 10 times the quantity she produced in the previous year. This year we will increase it 30 times. There can be no limit to our effort.” Mr Menzies toured the whole Australian area and addressed two big parades, he warned the men against paving too much attention to stories of industrial trouble at home. “The folly of the few is not the folly of the nation,” he declared. The Commonwealth Government spent £84.750,000 on the war during the six months ended December 31. Approximately £55,000,000 came from loans and the remainder from revenue.
