GIFT OF A MOBILE CANTEEN

(United Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 5. The Supreme Council of the thirty third Degree of the Ancient and Accepted Rite for England, Wales, the Dominions and the dependencies of the British Crown, after consultation with the Governor-General, Lord Galway, a prominent member of the Supreme Council and chairman of the National Patriotic Fund Board, has presented a mobile canteen to the board for the use of New Zealand troops overseas. Making this announcement this afternoon the secretary of the National Patriotic Fund Board said the gift would prove a very valuable adjunct to the work of the board overseas. He understood the staff of a well-known New Zealand firm was considering presenting two other mobile canteens for New Zealand troops overseas. It is intended to use these canteens in the Middle East and to have the bodies built in New Zealand.
