SUCCESSFUL LODGE PICNIC
OUTING HELD AT WAIHOPAI SCENIC RESERVE I The members of the Ladies’ Loyal Orange Lodge held their annual picnic at the Waihopai scenic reserve. The day was perfect and there was a good attendance of members and friends, the outing being a great success. The results of the various races were:— Girls, 5 to 7 years.—Lois Kelly 1, Merle Aitken 2. Girls, 8 to 10 years.— Shirley Blomfield 1. Pulley 1, Miss M. Pulley 2. Married women’s race.—Mrs White 1, Mrs Parkin 2. Married men’s race.—Mr White 1. Mr Pay 2. Women’s blindfold chain stepping.—Mrs Ure 1. Mrs Pay 2. Men’s blindfold chain stepping.—Mr Kennedy 1. Mr Pithie 2. Cigarette race.—Miss S. Pullev and L. Rapley 1. Thread-the-needle race.—Miss P. Millard and J. Robson 1.
