OUTBREAK OF FIRE ON BRITISH SHIP
DETECTIVES INVESTIGATING CAUSE (Received January 12, 8.0 p.m.) NEW YORK, January 11. The British freighter. Black Heron, caught fire in one hold a few hours before she was due to sail for Britain with a cargo of planes and food. The blaze was under control within an hour. Fifty detectives are investigating the outbreak.
