YOUTH CRUSHES HAND
Tudor Bokser, aged 16 years, of Nightcaps, was admitted to the Southland Hospital on Saturdaj- with a crushed hand. He suffered his injury while working in a mine. His condition is satisfactory. MAN DIES FROM BULLET WOUND (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, January 11. Apparently as the result of the accidental discharge of a pea-rifle in a Wellington shooting gallery late last eveni ing, Edwin Harris, aged 39, a painter, of Avondale, Auckland, received a wound in the left side of the chest. Harris was a visitox' to Wellington. He was immediately taken to hospital where an operation was performed but he died. BUSINESSMAN MISSING FROM WELLINGTON (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, January 12. Mr C. M. Brown, well known in Wellington business circles as a customs and shipping agent, has been missing since Thursday morning. Any person who has seen him since, is asked to inform the police. Mi- Brown, who was an artillery officer in the Great War, is aged 49 and is sft B£in. in height. He was last heard of at 10 a.m. on Thursday and was wearing a grey suit, blue shirt with a white collar, grey socks and black shoes. He has grey-blue eyes, sandy hair and is married.
