Fair To Fine (Special to The Times) WELLINGTON, January 10. Following is the special weather forecast fox’ Southland issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington: Moderate south to south-west winds; a few’ isolated showers but the weather mainly fail’ to fine with moderate temperatures. Seas moderate to rather rough. The Dominion forecast is as follows: Intermittent rain accompanying a southerly change but otherwise mainly fair to fine with a few - isolated showers only. Temperatures rising in the north and moderate in the south. General Situation: A disturbance extends froxrx the North Tasman Sea across the South Island. Anti-cyclones are centred to the north-east of New Zealand and over Tasmania.

Winds: Moderate to strong northwesterlies at first from Nelson and Marlborough northwards. Moderate to fresh southerlies then southward and southerlies becoming general by Sunday. Seas (New Zealand waters): Rather rough or rough in the south Taranaki Bight and about Cook Strait and south of Bank’s Peninsula; elsewhere slight or moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate to fresh northerly winds at first in the northern portion otherwise moderate or fresh southerlies prevailing. Seas moderate.
