PHILHARMONIC CHOIR RECITAL

The Invercargill Philharmonic Choir gave a second recital in the Victoria Concert Chamber on Tuesday evening. The large audience showed its appreciation of the solos and choral work. On behalf of the St. John Ambulance Women’s Guild, Mrs A. Wachner thanked the choirmaster, Mr G. E. Lomas, and his choir for giving the two recitals on behalf of the organization. She said that much-needed equipment would be bought with the funds. At the end of the evening’s entertainment the choir members paid a tribute to the choirmaster.
