CHRISTMAS COMPETITIONS Prizes will be given for:— 1. Best Christmas stocking for a girl. 2. Best Christmas stocking for a boy. 3. Best gift for a girl. 4. Best gift for a boy. 5. Best gift for a lady. 6. Best gift for a man. CONDITIONS: All these articles must be your own work, and must be inexpensive, but suitable. All entries will be used for Hospital Day, when we visit the patients with Santa Claus. A Hole in Your Hand By means of an optical illusion you can make a hole appear in the middle of your hand. Make a tube about Bin long, by rolling a
piece of paper round a stick. Hold it between the thumb and forefinger of your right hand, as at the left of the sketch. Now look down the tube with your left eye, keeping your right eye open also, and a hole appears to be bored through your hand.
