ARTS AND CRAFTS CIRCLE
ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the Arts and Crafts Circle of the Southland Women s Club was held yesterday afternoon. Mrs G. R. Milward presided. The annual report and balance-sheet were read by the secretary, Miss E. O'Byrne, and adopted. Mrs T. F. Gilkison complimented the chairman on the instructive and entertaining functions she and her committee had arranged during the year. The election of office-bearers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: Chairman, Mrs G. R. Milward; secre-
tary, Miss E. O’Byrne; committee, Mesdames H. R. Kingsland, J. H. Young, H. R. Gibson, E. Smith, R. C. Naismith and A. Tapper and Miss E. McKay. Miss O’Byrne was appointed to represent the circle on the entertainment committee. Miss Hulston gave an interesting talk and demonstration on _ book-binding, which she had become interested in as a hobby, and which she now taught her pupils so that they could keep their own books in good order.
