SEARCH FOR OIL: The President of the Philippines, Don Manuel Quezon, states that he has authorized the expenditure of 500,000 pesos to begin drilling for oil at Cebu and on Bondoc Peninsula. He said that a survey of those areas indicated that the chances of finding oil were very favourable. (Manila.)
