LUCKY PACKET DAY

SALE OF TICKETS BEGINS TODAY

Tickets which will entitle purchasers to secure lucky packets on the gala day being arranged for November 1 by the Invercargill Traders’ Patriotic Assistance Committee will be on sale in various city shops from today. Shops which have contributed donations are invited to apply to the secretary for supplies. Although the committee decided that tickets should be on sale from today, it was also arranged that the larger proportion should be retained for sale on the gala day itself to give country visitors to the city an equal opportunity to assist in the effort for the aid of British air raid victims. The lucky packets on gala day. will contain many delightful surprises.
