GERMAN TRANSPORT SUNK (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright) LONDON, September 20. A German transport vessel of. 10,000 tons has fallen a victim to the British submarine Sturgeon, which sank it off the coast of Denmark, in spite of attacks from the air and from escort vessels. The submarine torpedoed the transport and saw it burst into flames. When it came to the surface again the transport had sunk, and the escort vessels were looking for survivors. The sinking of the transport was denied by the Germans, but the whole cident was seen by Swedish fisherien and bodies were washed ashore.
