PERSONAL

The Hon. Adam Hamilton, Leader of the Opposition, left Invercargill by the express last evening for Dunedin and Wellington. Mr J. E. Speight, of the Invercargill staff of the Bank of Australasia, has received notice of his transfer to the Gore branch. Mr D. S. A. Weir, who returned recently from a Colonial Office appointment in agriculture in the Falkland Islands, has received notice of his transfer from the Department of Agriculture to the Lands Department as assistant supervisor of land development in the Auckland province. He will take up his new duties in Auckland shortly.
