BLUFF NEWS
PATRIOTIC WORK At the monthly meeting of the Bluff Patriotic Committee the secretary (Mr A. H. Ferguson) reported that the fund now totalled £461/8/1. Donations received since the last meeting included the following:—
A letter was received from the Department of Internal Affairs approving of raffles and advising that accounts must be audited. Mr R. N. Porter was appointed auditor. i The Women’s Patriotic Committee advised that an offer by Mr A. Wachner to bring bands to Bluff for holding Flag collections had been accepted. It was also decided to approach the Invercargill Male Choir and High School Bugle Band to hold functions Those present were the Mayor (Mr J. Cameron), the Mayoress (Mrs J.
