TTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in ac--11 cordance with the provisions of the “Rating Act, 1925” and amendments thereof, that the Wallace County Council, in accordance with notice given, made on 10th July, 1940 fox' the period commencing Ist April, 1940 and ending 31st March, 1941, under Section 120 of the “Counties Act, 1920” and amendments thereof on the Capital Value of the rateable property in the Valuation Rolls of the Ridings respectively, viz: A General rate of three farthings in the £ in Orepuki, Wairio, Pourakino, Wairaki and Mararoa Ridings; one halfpenny in the £ in the Waimatuku Riding; one penny in the £ in Aparima Riding; five-eighths of a penny in the £ in Otautau Riding; seven-eighths of a penny in the £ ixx Waiau Riding. And undei' Section 52 of the “Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926” a Charitable Aid rate of seven-sixteenths of a penny in the £ on the Capital Value of all rateable property in the County as entered in the Valuation Rolls payable in one sum at the office of the Wallace County Council, Otautau, 19th August, 1940. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that this Council made on Wednesday, 10th July, 1940 in accordance with the provisions of the “Finance Act, 1927” (No. 2) and notice duly given under Section 28 of the said Act, a General rate of one half penny per hundred feet board measure on Timber so converted, from the log into sawn timber, from Ist April, 1940 to 31st March, 1941 payable in one sum at the office of the Wallace County Council on the Ist day of April, 1941.
