CHARTER OF FLYING BOAT SOUGHT

TRIP TO SUVA NOT PRACTICABLE

(United Press Association)

AUCKLAND, June 29. Since the sinking of the Niagara people wishing to charter one of the big flying boats for a flight from Auckland to Suva have inundated Tasman Empire Airways with inquiries. The charter price quoted was £l5OO and at that price 60 people were willing to participate.

An officer of the company stated today that only two flying boats were available for the Tasman service. For this and other reasons associated with Government requirements it was not possible to run the proposed chartered trips.
