GOLF MATCHES The first round of the captain’s trophy played on the Bluff golf links resulted:—E. W. McKenzie beat N. C. Stewart, 3 and 1; W. G. Fisher beat W. F. Cameron, 2 and 1; A C. McKillop beat A. M. Wilson, 6 and 5; J. Mitchell beat H. A. Ferguson, 2 and 1; R. S. Pearce beat G. D. Bruce, 2 and 1; D. E. S. Mason beat J. Tait, 5 and 3; C. Parsons beat H. W. Newman,2and 1; L. O. Edwards beat A. M. Ferguson, 5 and 4.
The following is the draw for- next Saturday:—Second round.-—E. W. McKenzie v. W. G. Fisher; A. C. McKillop v. J. Mitchell; R. Pearce v. D. E. S. Mason; C. Parsons v. L. O. Edwards.
The- two best cards returned by the women in the eclectic match were:— Mrs G. D. Bruce, 53-19-35, and Miss Casey, 58-18-40.
