JAPANESE ATTACKS CONDEMNED
WASHINGTON, June 13. Mr Cordell Hull in a statement to the Press “wholeheartedly” condemned the Japanese aerial bombings of Chungking which he described as “ruthless.” He said the United States Methodist Mission was among the buildings damaged. OFFER OF £lOO,OOO BY GOLD COAST RUGBY, June 15. The Government has gratefully accepted the generous offer of £100,009 voted by the Gold Coast Government with the approval of the Legislative Council, for the purchase of a bomber or fighter aircraft.
