MONETARY AGREEMENT.— A tripartite monetary agreement has been signed between Britain, France and the Netherlands. Under the agreement the official exchange rate between the Netherlands East Indies guilder and the pound sterling is being fixed at 7.60 guilders to the pound. Arrangements also have been made on the same basis in relation to currency in the West Indies. (Rugby.) KING GIVES GUNS.— It is announced that the King is handing over a number of sporting guns for use by parashooters. (London.) ILLEGAL ORGANIZATIONS.— The Communist Party in Australia and a number of fascist organizations in the Commonwealth were declared illegal and ordered to be disbanded by special regulations issued in Canberra. (Sydney.) AUSTRALIAN CABINET.— An emergency meeting of the Federal Parliament has been called for next Thursday. (Canberra.) MERCY SHIP.— The McKeesport, a Red Cross mercy ship, is sailing tomorrow for Bordeaux with 1,000,000 dollars worth of food and medical equipment, and 100 hospital trucks. (New York.) RED CROSS FUND.— The Red Cross fund now stands at £1,760,000, an increase during the week of £70,000. (Rugby.),
