There was a fair attendance at the weekly shoot of the Dipton Miniature Rifle Club. The shooting was not up to the usual standard.

Ewen. j YOUNG FARMERS’ CLUB At the monthly meeting of the Dipton Young Farmers’ Club there was a fair attendance of members.

Members arranged to attend a meeting at Lochiel when Professor Hudson would be present to show pictures dealing with matters of interest to the farmers. A debate was arranged for the next monthly meeting. The subject of the debate will be “Radio Versus Newspapers.” At the invitation of the Farmers’ Union, the members adjourned to the hall, where Mr G. R. Herron was showing moving pictures of various shows and of other matters of interest. EUCHRE TOURNAMENT The fortnightly euchre and 500 tournament organized by the Ladies’ Patriotic Committee was held in the hall.

The winners were: Five hundred: Women’s prize, Miss L. Lane. Men’s prize: Mr E. D. McKenzie. Consolation winners: Miss J. Wood and Mr W. Mayer. Euchre: Women’s prize, Mrs E. O’Callaghan. Men’s prize, Mr H. Sparks. Consolation winners: Mrs Watson and Mr Reece.

The funds benefited to the extent of £lO as a result of the evening’s entertainment.
