BUILDING ACTIVITY IN CITY
41 PERMITS ISSUED LAST MONTH Permits for six new dwellings valued at £5788 were included in the building permits issued by the Invercargill City Council during the month of May. The total number of permits for all classes of building and demolition work was 41 and the total value of the work was £9398/5/6. In May last year 44 permits of a total value of £17,490/10/- were issued. Following are details of the permits
For the first five months of the year the total value of the permits issued in Invercargill was £68,109/16/6; last year it was £96,316.
