(United Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 4. The New Zealand Army Board despatched yesterday the following cablegram to General Lord Gort: — Please accept the congratulations of all ranks of the New Zealand Military Forces on your magnificent achievement. They would be grateful if you would convey to all concerned their admiration of the excellent soldier-like qualities displayed in the withdrawal from a most difficult position. None but the greatest praise can be bestowed for the wonderful co-operation of the three fighting services and the excellence of the staff work in the successful withdrawal of such a large number. Lord Gort replied as follows:— I am most grateful for your tele-

gram of congratulations on the fine performance of the British Expedi- • tionary Force which I shall convey to all ranks under my command. The co-operation of the three fighting services has never been excelled and their courage in the fac of grave danger was magnificent.
