ARTS AND CRAFTS CIRCLE

MEMBERS’ DISPLAY OF “SOMETHING OLD”

Against a colourful background of beautiful shawls of varied style and nationality, a small collection of antiques was displayed at the Southland Women’s Club yesterday by members of the Arts and Crafts Circle. Mrs G. R. Milward, chairman of the circle, welcomed the large number of members present and gave a commentary as she exhibited each article in the collection.

Among the treasures were a christening robe 80 years old, bracelets made from human hair and a greenstone
