PATRIOTIC COMMITTEE FORMED • A meeting was held in the Grove Bush Hall with the object of forming a patriotic committee. Mr C. Warden, explained the purpose of the meeting and apologized for the absence of Mrs James Hargest, who was to have addressed the meeting. Mr Warden was elected chairman and Mr A. W. Boniface secretary. A strong ladies’ committee was also formed, Mrs J. Coveney, being appointed chairman, with Mrs A. Knight secretary. The following collectors were appointed: Mrs L. McCallum, Mr J.
