CHILDREN’S DAYS AT WINTER SHOW
FUND TO BE CLOSED SOON More contributions have been received for the entertainment of the children who will attend the centennial celebrations at the Winter Show on May 10 and 11. The committee controlling the celebrations expects to learn today the numbers of children who will attend and it will then complete its arrangements. As these will depend on the amount of money available the committee hopes that all contributions wall be forwarded as soon as possible. The fund will be closed within a few days and persons wishing to contribute should do so as soon as possible. The amounts received yesterday included £5/5/- from Sir Robert Anderson and £2/2/- from Brass Brothers. The full list is as follows:—
A decision to give £l/1/- toward the fund for the entertainment of school children at the Winter Show was made at last night’s meeting of the Southland Men’s Hockey Association.
