CONCERTS BY PIERROT TROUPE
PATRIOTIC FUNDS BENEFIT The patriotic funds are benefiting, considerably from the proceeds of concerts given by the Returned Soldiers’ Pierrot Troupe. The party met with a wonderful reception at Lumsden, where the hall was crowded and £4O was raised. Tomorrow evening a concert will be staged at Bluff, and as a result it is hoped that another substantial sum will be handed over. The members of the party include Mrs B. Hammonds, Miss D. Foothead and Miss N. Brumby, and Messrs Rewi Kingsland, A. W. Kummert, F. H. Johnson, P. Linton Hodge, C. Payne, J. N. Armstrong and C. Trim. They are assisted by the teachers of dancing in Invercargill. Sketches are presented, songs are sung and there is a banjo trio.
