EUCHRE TOURNAMENT Prize-winners at the weekly euchre tournament at Willard Hall in aid of the Dominican Convent were:—Messrs W. Oxley and F. Te Koeti and Mesdarnes E. Murphy and Chillies. Play was supervised by Mr M. Gillooly. PRESENTATION A presentation to Mr and Mrs Norman Bradshaw, on behalf of the congregation of St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church, Bluff, was made yesterday. The function was held in the schoolroom and in presenting the guests of honour with a bronze fire-screen, Father Saxton mentioned that for many years Mr Bradshaw had acted as organist for the church. He was an accomplished musician and had been very zealous and painstaking in his duties. Mr Bradshaw replied. COMMUNITY SING The Bluff Women’s Patriotic Association has arranged a community sing to be held on Thursday night in the Town Hall. The entertainment provided by the assisting artists will be of a high standard, and the programme has been arranged by Mr P. Linton Hodge. The song leaders will be Messrs C. Trim and B. S. Hammond, and the accompanist Mr N. Armstrong.
