GOLF CLUB’S BOGEY MATCH SUCCESS OF M. S. TANSLEY AND S. B. TAYLOR A large number of members took part in the Gore Golf Club’s four-ball bogey match played on the club’s links at Croydon on Saturday afternoon. Conditions were good for golf. The match was won by M. S. Tansley and S. B. Taylor, who finished six up. An entry fee of 2/- a player was charged in aid of the National Patriotic Fund and more than £4 was raised. Scores:— M. S. Tansley and S. B. Taylor 6 up. L. G. Thomson and H. A. Boult 3 up. L. T. Cockerill and T. W. Feast 2 up. T. R. Orr and J. A. S. Aitken 2 up. PERSONAL Wireless Operator John L. Cooney, a son of Mr M. J. Cooney, of Gore, who has been attached to the Royal New Zealand Air Force at Wigram, has been posted to Blenheim as wireless operator, Signals Section.
