STORM, left Wellington last night for Bluff direct, due April 25 and sails the next day for Dunedin. (H. L. Tapley and Co.). WAINUI, to leave Wellington on May 10 for Bluff direct; due Bluff May 12 and sails the following day for Dunedin, Oamaru, Timaru. Lyttelton, Wellington, Gisborne and Napier. (Also takes cargo for Waikato Heads and New Plymouth). (Union Steam Ship Co. Ltd.). GENERAL NOTES The Storm direct from Wellington will not arrive until Friday. The Waimarino which arrived yesterday should complete and sail tonight for Dunedin. The Waiana is due on Saturday at the earliest and will be in port over the week-end. The schooner Britannia left yesterday morning for the half-time trip to the mutton bird islands. It is on this trip that the “passage birds” are usually collected. This means of exchange is still used to finance transport and provision costs. OTHER PORTS WELLINGTON, April 23. Arrived.—Storm 8 a.m. from Wanganui; Port Whangarei 9.30 a.m. and Breeze 10.5 a.m. from Lyttelton. To Arrive.—Waipahi 10 p.m. from Westport. Sailed.—Waiana 3.30 p.m. for Lyttelton; Kiwitea 3.40 p.m. for Westport; Port Whangarei 5.25 p.m. for New Plymouth; Breeze 6.30 p.m. for Wanganui; Storm 6.35 p.m. for Bluff. LYTTELTON, April 23.
