PHILATELIC SOCIETY MEETS
OFFICERS FOR YEAR ELECTED The annual meeting of the Invercargill Philatelic Society was held in Mr A. J. Campbell’s Studio recently. Mr Campbell presided over a good attendance of members. The annual report was discussed by the members, several of whom congratulated the club on the excellent position shown by the report, and was formally adopted. A vote of thanks to the exchange superintendent and to the secretary and treasurer was passed. The balancesheet showed the finances to be in a healthy position, a credit balance of nearly £ll being shown. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows:—President, Mr A. J. Campbell; vice-presi-dent, Mr J. T. Carswell; exchange superintendent, Mr A. R. Tuffery; secretary and treasurer, Mr P. Atkinson; auditor, Mr P. H. Skinner. Committee, the officers elected above with the addition of Miss Pilcher and Mr P. H. Skinner. Three new members were elected to the society. A large amount of correspondence was received and dealt with.
