Method Of Entry Suspected BIG CONSIGNMENT OF MILITARY BOOTS (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright) (Received April 22, 6.30 p.m.) BRUSSELS, April 21. The Belgian authorities discovered 50 German marine officers near Ostend and Zeebrugge. The majority are believed to have entered illegally. Twenty thousand military boots consigned from Germany to a small merchant were discovered in a Customs warehouse. The merchant denied knowledge of them. A Swedish fighter shot down in flames a German aeroplane which flew over the frontier north of Gothenburg. The crew of four was interned. Two German aeroplanes made forced landings on the Gotland Island. The crews set fire to the machines before they were arrested. Three other German aeroplanes crossed the frontier from Norway.

The Swiss Government suspended the university course for German law students, many of whom “are engaged in activities contradicting Swiss neutrality and endangering national security.” A Government communique reports that foreign aeroplanes which flew over the territory on April 20 and April 21 were identified as English and German. The Government has protested to Berlin and London. CANADIAN REGIMENTS AT PALACE (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, April 21. A large crowd outside Buckingham Palace this morning watched the guardchanging ceremony in which two Canadian regiments took part. The 22nd Royal Regiment, which took over the guard of the Palace on Wednesday, was relieved by the Toronto Scottish, of which regiment the Queen is Colonel-in-Chief. FRENCH BEAT BACK GERMAN_ATTACKS , PARIS, April 21. The French Command reports that five or six German attacks were easily dispersed yesterday. Six or seven French were killed. German casualties were slightly higher. Tire French official evening communique states: “There were artillery actions near the Blies.”
