BOY INJURED WHEN HORSE BOLTS

TELEGRAPH POLE STRUCK (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 21. Serious head injuries and concussion were suffered by a school boy, Patrick Sharp, aged 15, son of Mrs Sharp, of Mount Wellington, when the horse he was riding bolted and threw him against a telegraph pole this morning. The boy was taken to the Auckland Hospital. His condition is regarded as being critical. An eye-witness of the accident stated that Sharp’s horse, after running away, collided with another and then lurched into the pole.

CLERK UNCONSCIOUS ON FLOOR (United Press Association) GREYMOUTH, April 20. William Kyall, single, a clerk for the Ngahere Gold Dredging Company, was found unconscious on the floor at the dredge office yesterday afternoon. He was admitted to the Grey Hospital in a serious condition, apparently from poisoning. His condition today was very serious. His father resides at Waihi.

THRESHING MILL WORKER INJURED Edmund Ryan, aged 20, of Clifton, was admitted to the Southland Hospital on Saturday suffering from an injury to one of his eyes. He was struck in the eye by a handle on the mill.
