STOCK ON THE ROAD

To The Editor Sir, —I feel I must take up my pen to air a grievance of all motorists, namely, cattle and horses turned out on the long acre. I travel frequently from Motorimu to Kennington, and one place that is particularly bad is near Waimatua. Surely the county ranger would make a good day’s pay if he came round before 8 a.m. I feel also that if the traffic inspector was to pay a visit out here on another morning he would be able to prosecute quite a number of offenders. Hoping the authorities will feel disposed to take some action. Yours etc., HOPEFUL. April 17, 1940.
