OBITUARY

MRS ELIZABETH J. HORNE The death occurred during the weekend of Mrs Elizabeth Jane Horne, a well-known resident of the Mataura district and a daughter of Mr W. Philpott and the late Mrs Philpott, of Morton Mains. She was born at Morton Mains and was educated at the Rimu school. She married Mr Roger H. Horne, of “Mount Stuart,” Mataura, some 20 years ago, and while she was able to do so took an active interest m district organizations and functions. Her happy disposition and many good qualities gained her many friends. She is survived by her husband and three children, her father, one brother (Mr W Philpott, Morton Mains), and four sisters—Mrs A. J. Heath (Lumsden), Mrs George Heads (Edendale) Mrs George Fergie (Morton Mains) and Miss Philpott (Hamilton).
