Table Tennis
Though most sporting bodies have decided to abandon their championships for the duration of the war, the British Table Tennis Association is determined to carry on and hold its annual tournament as usual. The profits which accrue from the meeting will all be handed over to the Lord Mayor’s Red Cross Fund. As the matches will often go on until quite late at night, the authorities are trying to arrange that the event will coincide with a full moon, so that players, and spectators alike will not have to grope their way home through a too inky black-out.
