ROYAL ARCH MASONS IN CONVOCATION
GRAND CHAPTER OFFICERS INSTALLED (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, September 21. Delegates and officers from many parts of the Dominion assembled in Auckland for the forty-eighth annual convocation of Royal Arch Masons under the Supreme Grand Royal Arch Chapter of New Zealand. The business session opened under the presidency of the First Grand Principal, Bro. John Hobson (Hawke’s Bay) in the evening. The most important feature of the convocation was the installation of Bro. D. Duncan, of Auckland, as First Grand Principal and the investiture and installation of "other Grand Chapter officers for the ensuing year. Grand officers include Bro. L. M. Jolly (Otago) as Deputy First Grand Principal, Bro. F F Boustridge (Westland) and Bro. A. Scott (Southland) as Second and Third Grand Principals, Bro. A. Burns, jun. (Auckland), as chairman of • the Supreme Committee, Bro. B. L. Catt (Auckland) as Grand Treasurer Bro N B Spencer (Auckland) as Grand Registrar, and Brothers WT Reynolds (North Auckland), James Armstead (Auckland), D. Andrews (Hauraki), R. R Tyrer (Taranaki), E. E. Bott (Hawke’s Bay), W. H. Sandford (Ruapehu) R. W. McVilly (Wellington), A. E. Davies (Nelson and Marlborough), A. J. Jones (Canterbury), J. H. Harkness (Westland), E. Rackley (Otago) and F. Jackson (Southland) as District Grand Superintendents.
