SEVENTH DAY OF HEARING

WHAKATANE PAPER MILLS APPLICATION (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 21. All today’s proceedings in the application of Whakatane Paper Mills, Ltd., to the Price Investigation Tribunal for permission to increase its cardboard prices was occupied with the continuation of the evidence of William C. Ward, technical officer of the Government Timber Price Commission and production and marketing officer of the State Forest Service. Ward began his evidence yesterday afternoon and at the end of today’s proceedings he was still under cross-examination. Today was the seventh day of the hearing, which will continue tomorrow.
