SINGING CLASS BEGINS The singing classes under the auspices of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union began in the Waikaia school, under the baton of Mr J. Simpson, tutor. The weather was very stormy but a very satisfactory number of pupils attended and an enthusiastic committee was enrolled. The committee was elected as follows: —Patron, Mrs J. Dennis; president, Mrs R. Edwards; vice-presidents, Mr D. Paterson, Mr J. McKee and Mrs A. Christie; secretary, Miss M. Armstrong; treasurer, Miss R. Dennis; auditors, Mr J. Porter and Mr W. Duff; general committee, Messrs J. Collins, N. Christie, Miss H. McKinnel, Mrs D. Paterson and Mrs J. Porter; music committee, Mrs D. Sinclair and Mrs D. Paterson; librarians, Misses J. Wright and O. Collins; accompanists, Mrs R. Edwards, Mrs J. Porter, Mrs D. Sinclair, Mrs D. Paterson, Miss Dickson, Miss Armstrong and Mr D. Paterson.
