BANKING SHARES QUIET ON INVERCARGILL EXCHANGE Active support continues to come for Government securities on the Invercargill Stock Exchange yesterday. Banks were quiet with prices unchanged. Woollen companies’ shares attracted attention, there being buyers for all prominent lines. Among industrial lines there was a sharp rise in the price of Donaghy’s Rope, buyers moving up to £2/11/6. Sales of Union Banks at £B/6/- and £B/5/-, Austral (N.Z.) at 30/-, and Southland Frozen Meats at £l/12/- (on ’change) were reported.
