Regatta Postponed

The Invercargill Regatta Club at a meeting last night decided to postpone its regatta, which was to have been held on January 27, until March 9. This action was taken because of unforeseen circumstances. Lighting of Crossings It is probable that work will begin soon on the lighting and marking of pedestrian crossings in the city to comply with the traffic regulation now in force demanding that the crossings be visible 100 ft distant at night. The City Council has the matter under consideration, and it is possible that experiments with suitable lighting systems will be carried out.
