Mrs Cuppies,' of Dunedin, is the guest of her mother, Mrs A. Waddel, “Tainui,” Bann street.

Miss Isla Kett, Invercargill, is the guest of Mrs H. Newton, Marine parade.

Mr and Mrs Grey and their family, have been the guests of Mrs F. Anderson, New road, Winton. Mr • and Mrs Stan Milan and their family, of Christchurch, are staying with Mrs Milan’s mother, Mrs L. Parsons, Foyle street. Mr and Mrs L. Rhodes, St. Clair, Dunedin, have been the guests of Captain T. J. Callan and Mrs Callan, Barrow street.

Mr and Mrs A. Valentine and. their small daughter Doreen, of Shannon street, and Mr and Mrs G. Valentine, Argyle Beach, have returned from a tour of the South Island.

Mrs Watson, sen., Stewart Island, is spending a holiday in Bluff. Misses Jean and Dorothy Eade, of Auckland, are the guests of Mrs Drake, Barrow street.

Mrs Dunlop, Barrow street, is visiting friends at Mataura Island.

Mr and Mrs E. McQuarrie, and their two small daughters, are on a holiday at Stewart Island.

Mrs Frank Vella, Shannon street, is the guest of her sister, Mrs T. T. Grant, Dunedin.

Miss Molly Johnston, Tone street, is spending a holiday at Timaru. Miss Joyce Urwin, Marine parade, has returned from Pembroke.

Miss Evelyn MacLauchlan, Greenhills, has returned from a holiday at Stewart Island. Mr and Mrs Andrew Lindsay and their family, of Dipton, are the guests of Mr and Mrs W. Crozier, Foyle street. Mi’ and Mrs T. Heads, and their sons, Messrs T. and J. Heads, Foyle street, are on a motor tour of the South Island.

Miss K. Fletcher, Marine parade, has returned from Pembroke.

Mr and Mrs N. Metzger and their small son Graham, of Greenhills, are on a motor tour of Otago Central. Mr and Mrs L. Shirley, of Ashburton, have been staying with Mrs Shirley’s father, Mr T. Parry, Bann street. Miss Ruby Johnston, Tone street, is on holiday at Stewart Island. Mr and Mrs J. Wixon, Bluff, were the recent guests of Mr and Mrs F. J. Gerrard, Wipton. Mrs A. Mabson and her two daughters, of Invercargill, and Miss W. George, of Dunedin, are on holiday at Bluff. DACRE Mr and Mrs Condon, Miss Patricia Condon and Mr M. Condon, Mosgiel, were the guests of Mr and Mrs R. Leonard for the Christmas and New Year holidays. Mrs W. Forsyth, with her two children, and her cousin, Mr Smith, were the guests of Mr D. Macnicol recently.

Mr and Mrs C. Warloch and Mr D. Macnicol motored to Queenstown for Christmas.

Miss N. Leonard, Invercargill, spent the Christmas and New Year holidays with her sister, Mrs W. Scully. Mr and Mrs P. Devereux, Dunedin, have been the guests of Mr and Mrs H. Dennis. Miss T. Hall and Mr F. Keogh have been the guests of Mr and Mrs G. Dennie.

Miss M. Scully was the guest of Mr and Mrs T. Scully, Eye street, for the week-end.

Miss M. Dwyer, Invercargill, was the guest of Mrs G. Dennis for the weekend. FAIRFAX Mr and Mrs T. Brown, Dunedin, have been the guests of Mr and Mrs A. Prentice.

Mx- and Mrs John Craig, Mokoreta, Mi’ T. Craig, Mokoreta, Mr J. Craig, Fortrose, Mr and Mrs J. Craig, Tuturau, and Mx- and Mrs F. AllG'n and family, Otautau, were visitors to Fairfax for the Craig-Cull wedding. Mr and Mrs J. Boulter are holidaying in the north, and intend visiting the Centennial Exhibition at Wellington. Mx- and Mrs J. Brownridge were the week-end visitors of Mx- and Mrs B. Grey.
