C. g B Pullar and T, Allen. The exist- e ■ ing record of 17min 16 l-ssec ■ gj was established in 1937 by an g B American team. This is an aver- || g age of 4min 19sec a man. Boot H g and Pullar have both beaten this g s time, while Allan has run 4min g | 20sec. Matthews is the British H g Empire champion over three g = miles and six miles and he holds g I the New Zealand record for two B g miles at 9min 14 3-ssec. The g s Masterton track is regarded as g ■ the fastest in New Zealand, it = g being there that R. A. Rose ■ == created his mile record of 4min g | 13 3-ssec in 1925. ■
