MILITARY TRAINEES RETURN

MEN TO TAKE POSITIONS WITH FORCES (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, December 19. A party of 24 New Zealanders who have been training for military service at the Duntroon Military College arrived at Wellington today, 14 returning to New Zealand for service and 10 on a Christmas vacation. Of the 14 who graduated, five did the normal threeyear course and nine took a special course extending over «six months. Those who graduated will be posted to positions with the forces and some are hoping to be placed with the second echelon of the Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force. All of the young men appeared keen on the career they had chosen and looked the right type for officers in the New Zealand forces. They were all bronzed and fit, having taken a prominent part in the sporting activities of the college.
