26,000 AUSTRALIAN AIRMEN

(By Radio—l.ls a.m.) LONDON, December 15. The extent of Australia’s contribution to the Empire air training scheme was announced by the Prime Minister (Mr R. G. Menzies). Australia will provide 26,000 airmen, 10,400 pilots and 15,600 observers, gunners and other staff. The cost of Australia’s part in the scheme is estimated at £50,000,000 in Australian currency.
