Beauty Chorus Of Women In Sport
Summer-time is swim-time. Try a little diving with the swim and your health and beauty exercises are done for the day. There is no need to compete with the champions in this diving business, just try to spring into the water instead of walking meekly off the steps, and you will be helping to streamline your figure. Quite the happiest feature of this way to beauty is the fact that diving is fun, and you are doing your exercises effortlessly. You can forget about your figure and finish up in better shape than ever if you plan a summer diving campaign. Banished are those extra minutes in the morning when you bent in one direction, stretched in another, and generally endured a complicated series of exercises in an effort to get rid of superfluous avoirdupois. Tf you are not one who is keen about strenuous games you can be lazy and still get enough exercise with diving to keep trim and fit. Doing your exercise while enjoying an hour or two at the pool is a pleasant way to beauty. EXERCISING THE MUSCLES It is easily accomplished. Each time you tauten your body, and with a controlled spring leave the board, you straighten your body and remind, all your muscles that standing up straight is easy. The uplift of the arms and the straightened muscles as you dive through the air towards the bluegreen water produce a slender body. In the world of sport the women divers are known as “the beauty chorus of women in sport.” They are lithe, slim, young women with clear skins and a “joy in living.” They combine complete femininity with genuine athletic achievement. There isn’t a prettier picture than the young girls on the high tower or on the spring-board in pure white bathing suits doing a swallow dive. It is quite unnecessary to reach any sort of competitive standard to achieve fitness. The mere act of diving, however skilled or unskilled, achieves its purpose—long, smooth, flat muscles. CHEAP WAY TO BEAUTY If you haven’t tried to dive before this summer, it doesn’t require very much courage. Once you get on the board, tuck your chin well in, then spring off your toes, and so long as you keep your chin in you will not go flat. Once you have experienced the thrill of flying through the air you will want to do it more often, it is so exhilarating. Each time you dive, the more graceful and skilled you become in execution. Practice makes perfect is an old and trite adage, but it is a particularly apt one.
This diving is a cheap way to beauty. All you need is a swim-suit and a trip to the pool—no expensive beauty aids, no creams, no tortuous exercises. Diving, it is said, is like a good butler; it keeps things in perfect order while you remain blissfully ignorant of all the special processes going on. It is a case of doing your exercises for beauty while having fun.
