SOUTHLAND HIGH AND WAITAKI HOME TEAM 193 FOR THREE (Special to The Times) OAMARU, December 12. The annual inter-school cricket match between the Waitaki Boys’ High School first XI and the Southland Boys’ High School first XI was begun at Waitaki this afternoon in , ideal weather.

Play began at 3.45 p.m. and at stumps Waitaki had lost three wickets for 193 runs. D. Maclntyre knocked up 121 runs in 65 minutes in a bright batting display. Other good • scores were Woodhouse 28 and Sutherland 21 Gilbertson was the most successful bowler with two'wickets for 86 runs. Scores:—
