MANY BEQUESTS TO CHARITY
ESTATE OF AUCKLAND BUSINESS MAN SEVERAL ORGANIZATIONS BENEFIT (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, December 5. Provision is made for charitable legacies amounting to £ll,lOO under the will of Mr D. R. Caldwell, whose death occurrred at Remuera last Friday. The late Mr Caldwell was one of Auckland’s leading business men. The bequests are as follows:— Trust fund for the benefit of the poor , and needy of the town of Ayr, Scotland, £3OOO. ‘ Presbyterian Church orphanages in the Auckland province, £2500. Aged and Infirm Ministers’ Fund of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, £lOOO. Auckland Y.M.C.A., £5OO. Wilson Home for Crippled Children, £5OO.
Church of England orphanages in the Auckland province, £5OO. Presbyterian Social Service Association, £5OO. Salvation Army in New Zealand, £3OO.
Other bequests are:—Auckland Society for Deaf Children £250, New Zealand League for the Hard of Hearing £250, Auckland Institute for Backward Children £250, Discharged Prisoners’ Aid Society £250, Jasper Calder Mission £2OO, New Zealand Institute for the Blind £2OO, Knox Home for Incurables £2OO, Flying Angels Mission to Seamen £2OO.
